In early 2026 Avenel entered voluntary administration after 60 years of proudly serving Australia's retail community. It was a shock felt across the industry. But understanding the importance of preserving Australian heritage, Thomas Cook Boot & Clothing Co. (an Australian owned company with over 100 years and four generations of history of its own) has stepped in and acquired the Avenel brand. Avenel is back, and we couldn't be more pleased.
At Stewart's Menswear we have been proud stockists of Avenel for many years, and we look forward to restocking as new products become available. In the meantime we still have existing Avenel stock available in-store and online while it lasts.
