Stewart's Menswear Marks Earth Day with Greenspark

Stewart's Menswear Marks Earth Day with Greenspark

As we head towards Earth Day on 22 April, we wanted to share a simple way our online customers are included in something positive during Earth Month.

Through Stewart’s ongoing partnership with Greenspark, every online order helps support two practical impacts we can measure and share with you: plastic bottles rescued and kelp planted.

Bottles rescued + kelp planted (how it works)

For every order placed on our Shopify website, we donate a portion of the proceeds to Greenspark. Those funds then go towards:

  • rescuing 4 plastic bottles, and
  • planting 1 kelp plant.

It’s a small action built into everyday shopping, and we like that it’s simple, transparent, and adds up over time.

Why kelp?

Kelp forests play an important role in healthy ocean ecosystems. Supporting kelp restoration helps rebuild habitats for marine life and contributes to broader ocean health.

Why plastic rescue?

Plastic pollution is one of the biggest threats to our oceans. Supporting plastic rescue helps remove plastic before it reaches the ocean, while also backing collection and recycling work in coastal communities.

What we’ve achieved together so far

Over the past 20 months, our Greenspark partnership has helped rescue 1,852 plastic bottles and plant 463 kelp plants.

That’s not us on our own, it’s the combined impact of customers choosing to shop with Stewart’s Menswear online. Thank you for being part of it.

If you’re topping up the wardrobe, keep it simple: bamboo clothing, organic cotton basics, and a few pieces made with recycled materials (including Zoggs recycled swimwear). It’s all geared towards real life because it's comfortable, easy to wear, and easy to look after. The kind of stuff you’ll reach for often, rather than something that sits in the wardrobe waiting for the “right” day.

Follow along (and get involved)

We’ll be sharing a short Earth Month series on social media leading into Earth Day, and we’ll post our updated totals at the end of April.

And if you’d like to join in beyond shopping: hit reply or leave a comment and tell us one small sustainability habit you’ve stuck with (even if it’s just buying fewer, better pieces).

Fashion Revolution Week

Earth Day falls right in the middle of Fashion Revolution Week (15–24 April).

Fashion Revolution is a global movement built around one simple question: who made my clothes, and how were they treated?

As a family-owned independent store, we handpick every brand we stock. That means paying attention to where things are made and whether the people making them are looked after fairly. We actively choose brands that are doing better, including Australian-made labels, natural fibre options, and brands with genuine commitments to responsible production and packaging

A few worth knowing about:

  • Kingston Grange - (family owned and operated celebrating 20 years) bamboo clothing that's soft, breathable, and kind to the planet
  • Reer Endz - (Family owned and operated) Men's underwear made from organic cotton
  • Humphrey Law Socks - (Family owned for over 75 years) Made in Australia with a factory powered by solar panels
