MULLUMBIMBY'S MAGIC PART 3 - THE ARTS

MULLUMBIMBY'S MAGIC PART 3 - THE ARTS

Stewart’s Menswear is part of the fabric of Mullumbimby. When we bought the store in 2004, we decided to offer one of our windows to the Brunswick Valley Historical society. The display is changed regularly by Mullumbimby Museum volunteers and it creates a lot of interest and comments.

We are currently between displays and are promoting the final DVD in Mullumbimby's Magic, a 3 part series. This last DVD focuses on the Arts, the creatives of the 70s and 80s. The Museum initally commissioned local Film Maker Sharon Shostak to make one DVD, Mullumbimby Madness. The series then followed with another 3 DVDs being produced capturing the story of the alternate settlers that arrived in the Byron Shire during the 1970s. Tickets are available now for screenings of the movie and copies of the DVD itself will be available to purchase from Stewart's Menswear shortly.

The Mullumbimby Museum is open on Tuesdays and Fridays from 10:00am till 12:00pm.

The Society is run by volunteers who work tirelessly to provide a permanent record of our interesting and unique local history.

The window gives the Mullumbimby Museum a presence in our main street, reminding both locals and visitors of what a great place the Museum is to visit.
